I met my "little sister" this afternoon!

H is a super cute and very bright kid. She seems very excited to have a new friend who will be just for her, that she doesn't have to share with her siblings or anyone else. She was so excited about getting together for our first real visit that she actually calculated the number of days in hours (72) until we can have our first outing! :-) This is one bright kid, considering she did that in her head and she's only 8 years old. She has pretty green eyes, a very engaging smile, and a sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of her nose. It's hard not to smile when you look at her. I'm really looking forward to spending a couple hours with her on Saturday and getting to know her better.

Will keep you all posted on further progress...will write more after we get together this Saturday.

It was very foggy this morning when I woke up, but the sun has burned most of the mist away, and it's promising to be a very sunny and beautiful spring day. I get to work with two dogs today in separate appointments--an aggressive Doberman puppy and a hyper, out-of-control Brittany puppy--and then I'm done at 3:30 this afternoon. Tomorrow I get to see my nieces and my sister when we go out for tea...I can hardly wait to see that chubby-cheeked babeh. It's going to be a fun time. The weekend is almost here!
